Houston Police Release Video, Seek Suspect in Robbery of 74-Year-Old Outside Store

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information that leads to charges or an arrest.

Overview

  • The robbery occurred around 10 a.m. on Aug. 30 in the parking lot of a convenience store on the 6300 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard near the South 610 Loop.
  • Surveillance footage shows the suspect reaching into the victim’s pocket to take cash, causing the man using a walker to fall, before the suspect walks away.
  • Houston police describe the suspect as a Black male, 17 to 25 years old, with a short afro, wearing a black jacket, faded blue jeans, white shoes, and carrying a light blue backpack.
  • HPD’s Robbery Division released the video on Sept. 15 and requested the public’s help under case number 1136502-25, with no arrest reported.
