Houston Man Faces $1 Million Bond in Pregnant Wife's Capital Murder Case

Lee Gilley is accused of strangling his wife, Christa, who was eight weeks pregnant, after initially claiming her death was a suicide.

Christa Gilley, a 38-year-old mother and physical therapist, was found dead in her Houston Heights home on October 7.
An autopsy revealed Christa died from strangulation and had injuries inconsistent with her husband's claim of a drug overdose.
Lee Gilley, also 38, was arrested and charged with capital murder for the deaths of Christa and their unborn child.
The couple had argued over a car purchase on the night of Christa's death, according to Lee's statement to police.
Lee is prohibited from contacting their two children, who are now in the shared custody of their grandparents.
