• Schlain was arrested Wednesday evening after investigators linked him to a series of fire incidents around Houston’s Memorial Park.
• During questioning he admitted to igniting a brush pile on Knox Street that spread to a fence without damaging nearby homes.
• He also confessed to setting fires at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center and on open land along Woodway Drive.
