Overview
- The Dash announced that head coach Fabrice Gautrat and technical director Twila Kilgore will transition away from their roles and will not return for the 2027 season.
- Assistant coach Jaime Frias was promoted to interim head coach and will lead the team for the remaining regular-season games while the club conducts a search for a permanent replacement.
- The decision followed a string of poor results, including four straight losses and a recent match in which the team recorded no shots on goal, leaving the Dash well outside playoff contention.
- Gautrat finished his tenure with a 15-24-11 record across nearly two seasons, and the move underscores a longer pattern of turnover after the team cycled through multiple head coaches since 2022.
- Club leaders said they will manage the coaching search internally, a shift that could reshape roster planning and staff stability and influence player confidence and recruitment choices ahead of 2027.
