Houston Astros Rename Ballpark to Daikin Park After 15-Year Deal

The iconic Minute Maid Park signage is being replaced as the Astros partner with Japanese air-conditioning giant Daikin for naming rights.

The Houston Astros' downtown ballpark has officially been renamed Daikin Park as of January 1, 2025, under a 15-year naming rights agreement with Daikin Comfort Technologies.
Construction crews began removing the iconic Minute Maid Park signage on February 5, 2025, with new Daikin branding already being installed across the stadium.
This marks the third name change for the ballpark, which was originally called Enron Field in 2000 before becoming Minute Maid Park in 2002 after the Enron scandal.
The Astros are reportedly considering auctioning or selling the removed Minute Maid Park signage to fans, offering them a chance to own a piece of team history.
Interior renovations, including updates to the stadium's famous train, are ongoing and will be revealed during the Astros' Opening Day on March 27, 2025.
