House Majority Leader Steve Scalise has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare but treatable blood cancer.
Scalise has already begun treatment, which is expected to continue for several months.
Despite his diagnosis, Scalise plans to continue working and return to Washington D.C. in September.
