House Judiciary Committee Investigates Fulton County DA Fani Willis

Allegations of Coordination with Jan. 6 Committee Prompt Probe

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and Rep. Barry Loudermilk have launched an investigation into Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, alleging she coordinated with the House Jan. 6 Committee in their investigations.
The probe comes after Jordan and Loudermilk discovered a letter from Willis to Jan. 6 Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, in which she requested access to records relevant to her investigation.
Willis has been prosecuting former President Donald Trump and 18 others for their alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia.
Jordan and Loudermilk have requested all documents and communications between Willis’ office and the Jan. 6 Committee, as well as any documents related to the possession of select committee documents by Willis’ office.
Willis has previously rebuffed Jordan's efforts to examine her case, stating there is 'no justification in the Constitution for Congress to interfere with a state criminal matter.'
