Hormel recalls over 256,000 pounds of Dinty Moore Beef Stew after wood fragments found

  • The impacted cans were produced on February 4, 2025, and are marked with lot code T02045, establishment number EST199G and a “BEST BY FEB2028” date.
  • Hormel issued the voluntary recall after receiving three consumer complaints of wood fragments in the stew.
  • The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is overseeing the removal of the affected cans from retail shelves.
  • No injuries have been reported and consumers are urged to discard or return the recalled product.
