• On August 18, Rooprit Gill resumed management of Wattville Road Post Office in Handsworth, Birmingham, 15 years after she was dismissed.
• She was accused in 2010 of a £46,000 shortfall by the faulty Horizon system, was wrongly prosecuted in 2012, and says the ordeal cost her her home and marriage.
• Post Office chair Nigel Railton attended her reopening, issued a public apology, and said the service will equip her to run a successful branch.
• Gill said she has received an interim payment while her full compensation claim remains unresolved.
• She is believed to be the first victim of the Horizon scandal to return to operate the same branch.
