Honor Launches Magic8 Series in China With ‘Self‑Evolving AI’ and 200MP Telephoto

  • Both phones use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with MagicOS 10 on Android 16, featuring LTPO 120Hz OLED displays and support for 120fps gaming in select titles.
  • The Magic8 Pro adds a 200MP Ultra Night periscope telephoto (1/1.4-inch, f/2.6) alongside a 50MP main (f/1.6, OIS), 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP selfie camera, aided by AI anti-shake and the new Magic Color engine.
  • Honor’s upgraded YOYO Agent enables automatic execution across more than 3,000 scenarios, a customizable physical AI Button for instant access and camera control, and a secure on‑device YOYO Memories space.
  • Battery capacities reach 7,200mAh for the Pro in China (7,000mAh on Magic8), with a 7,100mAh global Pro and a 6,270mAh EU variant; charging tops out at 120W wired in China (100W elsewhere) and 80W wireless with Honor’s charger.
  • China pricing starts at RMB 4,499 for Magic8 and RMB 5,699 for Magic8 Pro with preorders this month, while durability ratings include IP68/69 and color options include Sunrise Gold, Sky Cyan, and Black.
