Honduran Illegal Immigrant Charged in Fatal Arkansas DUI Crash

Maynor Yair Sorto-Herrera, a 30-year-old Honduran national, was arrested on September 9 for a crash that killed Jennifer Ann Morton.
Sorto-Herrera is charged with negligent homicide, DUI, reckless driving, and other offenses.
The crash occurred on September 8 when Sorto-Herrera's truck crossed into the opposite lane, hitting Morton's car head-on.
Morton, 48, worked at Arkansas Children's Hospital for 24 years and was a beloved member of her community.
Sorto-Herrera, who had previously been deported in 2018, is currently held on a $150,000 bond and faces an ICE detainer.
