Honda Sets V2H/V2G Tests With SCE as It Showcases Acura RSX Prototype at RE+ 25

ChargeScape support signals Honda’s move to pair its EVs with home backup and grid services.

  • American Honda will display the RSX Prototype and a bi-directional home charging station concept at RE+ 25 in Las Vegas, Sept. 8–11.
  • The RSX, built on Honda’s new global EV platform, is slated for Acura in the second half of 2026 with mobile energy storage for home power.
  • Honda and Southern California Edison agreed to begin testing vehicle-to-home and vehicle-to-grid capabilities using future Honda and Acura EVs, with program details to follow.
  • The initiative will be supported by ChargeScape, a multi-automaker vehicle-grid integration platform designed to link EVs to utilities.
  • Honda’s broader energy lineup includes managed charging for Prologue and ZDX owners today, a stationary fuel cell generator targeting 2026 mass production, and Fastport eQuad deliveries beginning in late 2025.
