Honda Launches Activa e and QC1 Electric Scooters in India
The scooters mark Honda's entry into India's EV market, featuring swappable and fixed battery technologies with bookings starting January 2025.
- The Honda Activa e offers a range of 102 km per charge with two swappable 1.5 kWh batteries and supports a new e:Swap battery-swapping service in select cities.
- The QC1, designed for short commutes, features a fixed 1.5 kWh battery with an 80 km range and can be charged fully in 6.5 hours using a home charger.
- The Activa e includes advanced features like a 7.0-inch TFT display, three riding modes, and a smart key system, while the QC1 comes with a 5.0-inch LCD display and USB Type-C charging.
- Both models will be available for booking from January 1, 2025, with deliveries starting in February 2025 in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai.
- Honda aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and plans to introduce 30 electric two-wheelers globally by 2030, with these scooters as part of its roadmap.
