Honda Confirms CB1000F Retro 1,000cc Roadster for 2026

Drawing on 1980s CB heritage, the model adds IMU-driven electronics, with pricing and launch timing still unannounced.

Overview

  • The 999 cc inline-four derived from the 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade is retuned for stronger low‑to‑mid response, delivering 122 hp at 9,000 rpm and 103 Nm at 8,000 rpm.
  • A revised gearbox uses shorter first and second ratios and longer third to sixth, paired with a 4‑2‑1 exhaust and an assist‑and‑slipper clutch.
  • The steel diamond frame (shared architecture with the CB1000 Hornet) carries a 41 mm Showa SFF‑BP adjustable fork and a Showa rear shock with new linkage, with radial four‑piston front calipers on 310 mm discs, a 240 mm rear disc with Nissin caliper, and cornering ABS.
  • Rider aids include a six‑axis IMU, ride‑by‑wire, three preset modes plus two user modes, wheelie control, and HSTC, while equipment features Honda Smart Key, a 5‑inch TFT with RoadSync smartphone connectivity, full LED lighting, and Emergency Stop Signal indicators.
  • Honda cites 5.6 L/100 km fuel use from a 16‑liter tank for more than 280 km of range; styling references the CB750F era and the bike will be offered in Wolf Silver Metallic (blue stripe), Wolf Silver Metallic (gray stripe), and Graphite Black.
