Honasa Consumer Posts Rs 39.2 Crore Q2 Profit, Launches Premium Skincare and Buys Stake in Couch Commerce

Inventory correction with restrained costs drove the turnaround despite a sequential revenue dip.

Overview

  • Revenue from operations reached Rs 538 crore, up 16% year on year but down about 10% from Rs 595 crore in the prior quarter.
  • Profit after tax came in at Rs 39.2 crore versus a loss of Rs 18.5 crore a year earlier, with management attributing the shift to inventory correction projects.
  • Quarterly expenses were roughly Rs 505 crore, rising only marginally due to higher employee benefit costs.
  • Honasa introduced LuminĂ©ve, a night-focused Korean-style private-label range that marks its entry into premium skincare.
  • The company acquired a minority stake in oral-care firm Couch Commerce for Rs 10 crore, with the target reporting an ARR of about Rs 7 crore, as Honasa concentrates on core categories such as cleansers, shampoo, sunscreen, moisturiser and baby care.
