• A fugitive sought for the August 2023 fatal attack on Edgar Limber Justo Quispe was apprehended at the entrance to Barracas Central’s stadium before Sunday’s match against Aldosivi.
• Officials from the Policía de la Ciudad’s División Homicidios and the División Contravenciones y Faltas en Eventos Masivos pinpointed the suspect via Tribuna Segura, which bars individuals with active warrants from entering stadiums.
• After identity confirmation by Juzgado Nacional en lo Criminal y Correccional N°28, the suspect was placed under judicial custody and the homicide case entered its instrucción phase.
• Police investigations show that Quispe was struck in the eye with a metal rod during an attempted robbery in August 2023 and died in December after months of hospitalization.
• The same operation also led to the arrest of another man with an active capture order for alleged aggravated sexual abuse.
