Homicide Squad Probes Death of 93-Year-Old Found in Car Outside Corowa Hospital

  • Police say the 93-year-old Werribee man was discovered between about 5am and 5.30am on January 19 in the rear of a Victorian-registered car on Guy Street near the hospital.
  • NSW officers from the Murray River Police District initially attended the scene and closed Guy Street between Evelyn and Tower streets during examinations.
  • Victoria Police Homicide Squad has taken over the investigation because of connections to Victoria, and no determination about foul play has been announced.
  • A 33-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman from Werribee who had been travelling with the deceased are assisting detectives with inquiries.
  • A post-mortem will determine the cause of death, and police are seeking public information via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
