• Since its June 2023 launch, Homewards has shifted from coalition building into delivery mode, moving its first residents into Aberdeen flats in March and unlocking the inaugural Sheffield tenancies this week.
• Six pilot regions are hosting over 100 bespoke initiatives that span housing provision, employment pathways and targeted support for at-risk groups.
• Innovative Housing Projects under Homewards are forecast to deliver around 300 homes across empty properties, private rentals and new builds by the end of the five-year programme.
• Upstream, an early intervention school programme modelled on Australia’s Geelong Project, is expanding at Meadowhead Secondary School and set to roll out in additional regions by year-end.
• Homewards has secured a £50 million partnership with Lloyds Banking Group, nearly £3 million from coalition members and this week launched a collaboration with Gordon Brown’s Multibank charity to supply essentials for newly housed individuals.
