Homeless Man Attacked and Thrown into Berlin's Spree River

Bystanders rescued the victim, who has reported the incident to authorities as police begin their investigation.

A 42-year-old homeless man was attacked by at least four unidentified individuals while sleeping in a park in Berlin's Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district.
The attackers dragged the man to the riverbank and pushed him into the Spree River during the night of Saturday, April 5, 2025.
Bystanders intervened and helped the man out of the river, preventing further harm.
The victim reported the attack to Berlin police and received medical treatment from emergency responders.
Authorities have not yet identified the attackers or determined their motives, and an investigation is underway.
