Homeless Advocate's Teen Son Charged with Murder in Alleged Revenge Plot

Thomas Niarhos, 15, accused the victim of sexually assaulting his girlfriend before the fatal shooting, according to witnesses and police reports.

Thomas Niarhos, the 15-year-old son of a Pennsylvania advocate for the homeless, has been charged with the murder of a homeless man, Jeremiah Waylon Hawkins.
Niarhos allegedly accused Hawkins of raping his girlfriend and shot him with his father's Smith & Wesson.
The incident was witnessed by several people, some of whom detained Niarhos as he attempted to flee the scene.
Niarhos had previously reported the alleged sexual assault to the police, but the victim's family declined to press charges.
Niarhos is being held without bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Thursday.
