- At the IFFM Awards night on August 16, Homebound was named Best Film and its director Neeraj Ghaywan took home Best Director.
- Aamir Khan was honoured with the Excellence in Cinema award in recognition of his decades-long contribution to Indian film.
- The social-realist Bengali indie Baksho Bondi received the Equality in Cinema honour at the mid-festival ceremony.
- Acting prizes in the film categories went to Abhishek Bachchan and Geetha Kailasam, while Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimisha Sajayan led the best actor awards for series.
- The festival runs through August 24 with over 75 films in 31 languages, featuring open captions, Auslan interpretation and a closing screening of Homebound.
