Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus has stated he would likely still donate to Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign even if Trump is convicted in one of his four ongoing criminal cases.
Marcus, who supported Trump in the 2016 and 2020 elections, does not plan to be one of the former president's biggest financial backers.
Trump is currently facing four criminal cases, including state and federal charges related to his attempts to overturn his 2020 election loss to Joe Biden.
Despite his support for Trump, Marcus has also expressed admiration for other Republican presidential candidates, including Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis.
Marcus and his wife were the seventh-largest individual Republican donors in the 2020 election cycle, donating nearly $25 million to Republican campaigns.
