'Home Alone' Actor Ken Hudson Campbell Recovers After Successful Crowdfunded Cancer Surgery

Ken Hudson Campbell, known for his role as Santa in 'Home Alone', has successfully undergone a cancer surgery that was crowdfunded by fans and supporters.
The surgery involved removing a cancerous tumor from his mouth, his lymph nodes, and a significant portion of his jaw. Part of his leg bone was used to reconstruct his jaw.
The actor was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in October, a type of skin cancer that can spread to other parts of the body if left untreated.
Campbell lost his SAG-AFTRA health insurance after going without work during the pandemic, leading to the need for crowdfunding. The campaign surpassed its goal of $100,000, with donations from fellow actors including Steve Carell and 'The Big Bang Theory' co-creator Bill Prady.
Campbell is now in recovery and will start radiation treatment in a month. He will not need chemotherapy as all of the cancer was successfully removed during surgery.
