Hollywood Social Justice Advocate Murdered by Stalker of His Friend

Jameelah Elena Michl, previously known for stalking filmmaker A.V. Rockwell, is charged with the murder of Michael Latt, allegedly due to his friendship with Rockwell.

  • Jameelah Elena Michl, a 36-year-old woman living in her car, has been charged with the murder of Hollywood social justice advocate Michael Latt.
  • Michl allegedly broke into Latt's home and shot him in the head. She was arrested at the scene and her vehicle was impounded as evidence.
  • Prior to the murder, Michl had been stalking filmmaker A.V. Rockwell, sending her gifts and suicidal letters after working as an extra on Rockwell's Sundance-winning film 'A Thousand and One'.
  • Michl allegedly targeted Latt because of his friendship with Rockwell.
  • Michl is due to be arraigned on December 15 and is being held on a $3 million bail.
