Overview
- Jameelah Elena Michl, a 36-year-old woman living in her car, has been charged with the murder of Hollywood social justice advocate Michael Latt.
- Michl allegedly broke into Latt's home and shot him in the head. She was arrested at the scene and her vehicle was impounded as evidence.
- Prior to the murder, Michl had been stalking filmmaker A.V. Rockwell, sending her gifts and suicidal letters after working as an extra on Rockwell's Sundance-winning film 'A Thousand and One'.
- Michl allegedly targeted Latt because of his friendship with Rockwell.
- Michl is due to be arraigned on December 15 and is being held on a $3 million bail.
