• Holly Ward opened the scoring in Canada’s 3-1 friendly win over Haiti to become the first Northern Super League player to net for the senior women’s team.
• She earned her first national team call-up in May and made appearances in friendlies held in Winnipeg and Montreal.
• Ward signed her first professional contract with her hometown Vancouver Rise and started in the NSL’s inaugural match at B.C. Place.
• Across seven NSL games this season, she has contributed two assists and taken six shots but is still pursuing her first league goal.
• Vancouver Rise (3-2-2) will return to NSL action this Saturday when they visit the Montreal Roses after the international break.
