Overview
- Mexico’s Federal Labor Law lists nine mandatory rest days and requires triple pay when employees work those dates.
- Nov. 17, 2025 is the observed Revolution Day; those who work must be paid their day plus double, and others get a long weekend from Nov. 15–17.
- Nov. 1–2 are not statutory holidays, so any extra pay depends on workplace agreements, except the Sunday premium that applies on Nov. 2.
- Article 71 sets a minimum 25% Sunday premium, and workers who do not receive it can seek assistance from PROFEDET.
- News outlets also posted the 2026 holiday calendar, confirming the Dec. 1 transition day does not apply next year and noting Dec. 25, 2025 and Jan. 1, 2026 as the next official rest days.
