Overview
- Kickoff is scheduled for 15:30 at the SNP Arena with Dr. Matthias Jöllenbeck appointed as referee and live coverage on Sky and DAZN while SPORT1 runs a live ticker; the game is not available on free‑to‑air TV.
- Hoffenheim enter the match after a 2:3 defeat to 1. FC Köln in the season opener and will play at home under pressure to improve their early form.
- Dortmund carry strong recent defensive form, having recorded 16 Bundesliga clean sheets since the start of last season, but they must cope today without Schlotterbeck as he edges closer to a return.
- The recent head‑to‑head record favors Dortmund, with Hoffenheim winning only two of the last 12 Bundesliga meetings and registering just one clean sheet in their past 13 league games.
- SPORT1 discloses this preview was produced with AI assistance and notes the pay‑TV streaming setup means fans who want live video must use subscription services rather than free broadcast options.
