Overview

• Ernest Vaska, 34, of South Road, Hockley, has been charged with the murder of a man in his 30s and will appear in court on August 18.
• The victim was found stabbed inside a terrace house on August 15 shortly after emergency services arrived just after 5:15pm.
• Police have maintained a cordon across two adjoining properties and increased officer patrols in the neighbourhood to reassure residents.
• Formal identification of the victim has yet to take place and detectives say the homicide inquiry remains at an early stage.
