Bill Hay was instrumental in the Chicago Blackhawks' 1961 Stanley Cup victory, playing alongside Bobby Hull.
Hay's career spanned eight NHL seasons, during which he amassed 113 goals and 273 assists in 506 games.
After retiring, Hay served as president and CEO of the Calgary Flames and played a key role in Canadian hockey administration.
He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame as a builder in 2015, following in the footsteps of his father, Charles Hay.
