  • Hockey Canada invited 92 athletes to three off-ice orientation camps in Calgary from Aug. 26 to 28 as the opening phase of roster selection for Milan–Cortina 2026.
  • The men’s camp features 42 NHL players—26 forwards, 13 defensemen and three goaltenders—including six stars pre-selected by the IIHF.
  • Thirty women’s players, among them 17 gold medalists from Beijing 2022, will compete for spots on Canada’s Olympic roster during the Calgary sessions.
  • Canada’s para hockey program will assemble 20 athletes—11 forwards, six defenders and three goaltenders—with multiple Paralympic and World Championship medalists in attendance.
  • Senior vice-president Scott Salmond and general manager Doug Armstrong, joined by head coach Jon Cooper and senior staff, will lead presentations, team-building exercises and media opportunities to build cohesion.
