Overview
- A total of 92 athletes across men’s, women’s and para hockey programs received invitations to orientation camps set for Aug. 26–28 in Calgary.
- The men’s pool features 42 NHL players, including six pre-named Olympians—Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, Brayden Point and Sam Reinhart—and all 24 members of Canada’s 4 Nations Face-Off winning squad.
- Canada’s women’s camp will host 30 players encompassing 16 forwards, 10 defenders and four goaltenders, with 17 athletes from the 2022 Olympic gold-medal team.
- Twenty para hockey players have been invited, among them nine 2022 Paralympic silver medallists and 16 gold medallists from the 2024 World Para Hockey Championship.
- These off-ice gatherings will feature presentations, team-building activities, staff meetings and media sessions as Hockey Canada zeroes in on final roster selections for Milano-Cortina 2026.
