HMRC Pushes 18–23-Year-Olds to Claim Child Trust Funds as 758,000 Accounts Remain Untouched

Charities propose automatic payouts at 21 to reach low-income young adults, citing £123 million unclaimed in Scotland.

  • Official data show 27,000 unclaimed Child Trust Fund accounts hold more than £10,000, with a further 57,000 above £5,000 and 280,000 above £1,000.
