Hitman: World of Assassination Adds Cross-Progression on February 3

Players will sync core progress across linked platforms via an IOI Account and a chosen primary profile, though game and DLC licenses remain platform-bound.

Overview

  • IO Interactive says experience, player level, challenges, location mastery, unlocks, achievements, Freelancer progress and campaign progress will carry over across supported systems.
  • Game ownership, DLC licenses and DLC-based unlocks will not transfer, and players must own content on each platform to access its locations, items and related unlocks there.
  • The feature requires linking platforms to an IOI Account and designating one platform as the primary progression profile that all other linked profiles follow.
  • IOI will shut down the Hitman 2 to Hitman 3 carryover on February 3, so remaining transfers must be completed before that date.
  • A preparatory Steam patch (version 3.250.1) and a refreshed IOI Account interface are rolling out ahead of launch, and IOI notes old saves from non‑primary linked accounts won’t load while cross‑progression is active.
