Overview
- Feral Interactive announced on Thursday, October 15 that Hitman: Absolution — Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will arrive on October 22, 2026.
- The release adds technical upgrades over the 2025 Switch port, including higher output resolution in handheld and TV modes, a Performance preset targeting 60 FPS, improved animations and visual effects, better level of detail and shadow and texture filtering, and Joy-Con mouse support.
- Contracts mode, the game’s user-created online challenge system, will be available at launch so players can build and share assassination assignments from day one.
- Owners of the original Nintendo Switch version can upgrade to the Switch 2 Edition for free for a limited time, with outlets reporting the free window ends either November 4 or November 5 and the paid Upgrade Pack costing $9.99 afterward.
- The game will be discounted at launch to roughly $29.99 in the U.S. until early November and will revert to a standard price of $39.99 thereafter, following Feral’s positioning of this release as an upgraded port rather than a new standalone title.
