Overview
- Feral Interactive announced on Thursday that Hitman: Absolution — Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will arrive on October 22, 2026 as a dedicated release for Nintendo’s new console.
- The game’s full price is $39.99 with a 25% launch discount to $29.99 through early November and existing Nintendo Switch owners can upgrade to the Switch 2 Edition for free for a limited window reported to end on November 4 or November 5.
- After the free-upgrade window closes the Upgrade Pack will cost $9.99 and the full game will revert to $39.99, so owners who delay will need to pay to move from the original Switch version.
- The release emphasizes specific technical improvements: increased output resolution in handheld and TV modes, a Performance graphics preset targeting 60 FPS, improved animations, better level‑of‑detail, shadow and texture filtering, and Joy‑Con mouse support.
- The Switch 2 Edition ships with Contracts mode on day one, letting players create and share custom assassination challenges with online leaderboards, and follows Feral’s 2025 ports to iOS, Android and the original Switch that drew critique for performance issues now addressed in this update.
