The new owner plans to invest in the quarry's facilities, including expanding the stone sawmill to enhance production capabilities.
The quarry, with over 850 years of history, provides materials used in notable historical and modern buildings across the region and beyond.
The sale follows the quarry's insolvency filing in August, attributed to declining orders; the transition was facilitated by the insolvency administrator and local stakeholders.
