Historic England Archive Includes Public-Submitted High Street Photos

Over 200 photos from across England, submitted by the public, have been included in the Historic England Archive as part of the Picturing High Streets project.
The project, a partnership between Historic England and Photoworks, aimed to capture a snapshot of England's high streets and their importance to local communities.
Images from Bedfordshire, Norfolk, Essex, Suffolk, and Yorkshire were among those included in the collection.
The project was part of Historic England's High Streets Cultural Programme and the £95m High Streets Heritage Action Zones Programme.
The selected images join 173 which were taken as part of local projects with resident artists on high streets.
