Historic 9-Darter at Darts World Championship Earns Fan £60,000

Christian Kist throws a rare perfect game but loses in the first round, with a fan and charity also benefiting from the prize pool.

  • Dutch player Christian Kist achieved a 9-darter, the perfect game in darts, during his first-round match at the Darts World Championship in London.
  • Kist's feat marked the 15th 9-darter in the tournament's history, with the last one occurring in the 2023 final by Michael Smith.
  • Despite the historic achievement, Kist was defeated 3-1 by Latvia's Madars Razma, ending his journey in the tournament.
  • The £180,000 prize for the 9-darter was split three ways: £60,000 for Kist, £60,000 for a prostate cancer charity, and £60,000 for a randomly selected fan in attendance.
  • The lucky fan, a 28-year-old railway worker, received the windfall after attending the event with his grandfather, using a birthday gift ticket.
