Overview
- The state will affiliate 100 government senior secondary schools with the Central Board of Secondary Education starting from the next academic session.
- At least one CBSE-affiliated government senior secondary school is planned in every Assembly constituency to expand access across the state.
- A separate sub-cadre will be created for these institutions, and serving teachers will have the option to join it.
- Principals, teachers and non-teaching staff will be selected on merit, with a performance-based incentive scheme introduced for motivation.
- The schools will run as day-boarding institutions with added focus on nutrition, sports, arts, skilling, remedial teaching, counselling and career guidance, and additional posts will be created where required.
