• Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania has formally invited Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu to inaugurate the conference scheduled for June 30 to July 1 in Dharamsala.
• The conference will bring together delegates from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir, with invited speakers from Karnataka, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Telangana as special guests.
• Organizers aim to foster dialogue on legislative procedures, democratic governance and regional cooperation to strengthen parliamentary institutions.
• Himachal Pradesh pioneered paperless e-working in its assemblies in 2014 with the Rs 8.12 crore e-Vidhan Sabha project, delivering annual savings of about Rs 15 crore.
• The state has held its winter legislative sessions in Dharamsala since 2005, and the current Tapovan assembly complex was constructed at a cost of Rs 7-8 crore on a 1.6-acre site.
