- On June 25, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu flagged off the fleet of 12 e-scooters from his Oak Over residence in Shimla.
- The scooters were provided by the State AIDS Control Society to the Health Department for deployment across eight districts.
- Mobile teams will deliver medications, perform health screenings and provide counselling to patients with HIV, STIs, TB and hepatitis.
- The initiative is designed to ensure uninterrupted treatment and drive viral load suppression among people living with HIV.
- More than 6,000 individuals in Himachal Pradesh are living with HIV, most of whom have achieved viral load suppression through earlier state efforts.
