Overview
- Outpatient services resumed at IGMC Shimla and other state hospitals after the Resident Doctors’ Association withdrew its indefinite strike.

- The strike followed the rapid termination of senior resident Dr Raghav Narula after a Dec 22 altercation with a patient that was caught on video, with an internal inquiry finding both parties at fault.
- Police said statements from patients and attendants were recorded and digital evidence is being secured, and an FIR was registered in connection with the incident.
- The RDA said it will participate in the reopened inquiry and meet on January 3 to decide further action.
