Hilton Overhauls Honors for 2026 With New Diamond Reserve Tier and Lower Elite Thresholds

Status will be earned under the new rules starting Jan. 1, 2026, with 2025 activity not retroactively upgraded.

Overview

  • Hilton confirmed Diamond Reserve as a new top tier requiring 80 nights plus $18,000 in eligible annual spend, with qualification beginning in 2026.
  • Diamond Reserve adds a Confirmable Upgrade Reward that locks in a premium room or up to a one‑bedroom suite for stays of up to seven nights at booking, with a second certificate available at 120 nights or 30,000 points and a 12‑month validity.
  • Additional Diamond Reserve perks include guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, premium lounge and Premium Club access, a 120% points bonus, dedicated support, and highest priority for space‑available upgrades that can clear up to three days pre‑arrival.
  • Gold and Diamond become easier to earn in 2026, with Gold at 15 stays, 25 nights or $6,000 spend and Diamond at 25 stays, 50 nights or $11,500 spend, while Silver remains unchanged.
  • Rollover nights are being eliminated after a one‑year accommodation for 2025 balances, and base point earning at Homewood Suites and Spark drops to 5 points per dollar on stays from Jan. 8, 2026.
