Overview
- He fell from a tree while taking a shortcut through the woods near Poulsbo around June 18 and became disoriented.
- A Suquamish resident heard faint cries around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, and alerted emergency services.
- Multiple agencies including the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office, Washington Explorer Search and Rescue, Kitsap Search Dogs, Olympic Mountain Rescue and the Suquamish Tribal Police Department joined the search.
- Crews located the hiker at approximately 7 a.m. on June 21 and carried him out on a stretcher for evacuation.
