Hidalgo Resumes Classes Statewide Except in Five High-Risk Municipalities

  • Governor Julio Menchaca reported preventive actions in affected areas, including the evacuation of 17 people in Acuautla and a landslide in Pemuxco, Tianguistengo.
  • Puebla has shifted all basic-education schools to a winter schedule through Feb. 27, 2026, and classes in its Sierra Norte and Nororiental regions are slated to resume on Nov. 12 after a weather pause.
  • The national weather service said Cold Front No. 13 should weaken by Tuesday night, while a new system is forecast from Nov. 12–14, prompting calls to follow updates from Protección Civil and education authorities.
