Overview

  • The Japan International Exposition Association confirmed one-person HEXA demonstrations will run from July 10 to 21 over the Osaka-Kansai Expo site.
  • Marubeni and Lift Aircraft’s joint investigation determined that a motor-battery connector built outside design specifications caused the April 26 motor failure.
  • The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism ruled the April incident a non-accident under aviation law and required preventive safety measures.
  • Marubeni canceled its October demo of a five-seat Vertical Aerospace aircraft between the Expo site and Amagasaki City due to ongoing development delays.
  • SkyDrive’s flights remain set for July 31–August 24 and ANA Holdings with Joby Aviation will demo from late September to October 13 as scheduled.
