  • On July 9, 17-year-old Boris Mamuzah Lum signed a new long-term contract to remain with Hertha BSC through the coming seasons.
  • Lum joined Hertha’s academy in 2016 and became the club’s youngest-ever first-team debutant at age 16 during last season.
  • He has made three 2. Bundesliga appearances and featured at youth levels with eleven Regionalliga matches (one goal) for the U23s and fifteen games for the U19s, and he won a Fritz-Walter Bronze Medal in 2024.
  • Now fully integrated under coach Stefan Leitl, Lum will join the first-team squad at Friday’s preseason training camp as part of promotion preparations.
  • Sport director Benjamin Weber hailed the extension as a vote of confidence in Hertha’s homegrown talent model as the club pursues an immediate return to the Bundesliga.
