The partnership with Hertha 03 Zehlendorf is now divided, with performance-focused teams based in Westend and others managed by Zehlendorf with continued support from Hertha BSC.
Teams such as U13, U15, U17, U20, and the 1st Women's team will operate under a performance-oriented framework in Westend.
The 1st Women's team currently competes in the Regionalliga Nordost, trailing leaders RB Leipzig II and Viktoria Berlin by five points before the season's second half.
Hertha BSC follows Union Berlin and Viktoria Berlin as the third major Berlin club to professionalize its women's football efforts, with Union recently advancing to the second tier.
