Overview

• The former Tabasco security chief, alleged leader of La Barredora, was expelled by Paraguay on September 17 after Mexico withdrew its extradition request and was delivered to Mexican authorities.
• He was transferred under a heavy security operation to the Altiplano maximum‑security prison on September 18–19 and notified of a state warrant for association delictuosa, extortion and express kidnapping issued on February 18.
• The initial proceeding was held privately by videoconference from the prison as the Tabasco Fiscalía presented evidence to seek vinculación a proceso and asked for corresponding measures.
