Herman Miller and Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Unveil Limited-Edition New Mexico Collection

The collection, launching May 20 during NYCxDESIGN, revives archival designs inspired by the creative legacies of Georgia O’Keeffe, Charles and Ray Eamesand AlAlexander Girard.

Overview

  • The New Mexico Collection features two limited-run pieces: the Eames Wire Chair Low Base and the Girard Snake Table, blending mid-century design with New Mexico aesthetics.
  • The Eames Wire Chair Low Base is upholstered in ochre and sienna striped fabric, reflecting the adobe interiors of O’Keeffe’s Abiquiú home.
  • The Girard Snake Table, based on a 1950s prototype, includes a steel top with a custom snake illustration and a splayed-leg aluminum base.
  • Only 300 chairs, priced at $1,995 each, and 100 tables, priced at $895 each, will be available starting May 20 at Herman Miller’s New York store and online.
  • An exclusive preview will take place during NYCxDESIGN, with the first 100 store visitors receiving a bandana inspired by Girard’s snake motif.
